Role: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Houston, TX (on-site)

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk! Our client in Houston, Texas is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk on a contract-to-hire basis.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor bills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures, such as COI and W9.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts payable transactions, including filing invoices and payment documentation.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including Procurement and Finance, to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives, as needed, to support the Accounting Team and business objectives.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
