Job Summary/Basic Function
Serve as a direct report to the Vice President for Business and Finance. Oversee and direct the area of administrative and business services for the University. Areas of direct supervision include Contract Administration, Procurement and Logistic Services, and Postal Services, as well as oversight of outsourced operations related to the University Bookstore, Beverage and Snack Vending. Develop financial models that create efficiencies in these outsourced areas, as well as bring in additional revenues for the University. Act as a liaison between Contracts Administration and the University Counsel's Office on complex agreements and determining the best path forward for the University. Coordinate and develop responses to fiscal notes received from the Tennessee General Assembly. Assist with materials for the Board of Trustees meetings, especially as related to the Finance and Compliance Committee. Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned by the Vice President for Business and Finance.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree required. Law degree preferred
Required Related Experience
Eight (8) years of successful and responsible full-time employment in a business, legal, state government, or higher education field is required.
Desirable Related Experience
Experience in Tennessee public procurement and contracting preferred. Law degree preferred.
Desirable License/Registration/Certification
Tennessee Law license preferred
