Under the direction of the Case Support Unit (CSU) sergeant, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for assisting with the development of complex analysis relative to the Department's role as the statewide Highway Violence Task Force (HVTF) coordinator. The analyst will be tasked with coordinating the collection and input of data from HVTF activities to prepare monthly and annual statistical reports; analyzing legislation and preparing responses with recommendations, and conducting studies of trend analysis and pattern recognition. The AGPA will also be responsible for providing assistance and support to field personnel, when appropriate, and maintaining confidentiality of records and criminal intelligence. In addition, the AGPA is in charge of researching, compiling, and analyzing data to develop fiscal budgets. Applicants at the Staff Services Analyst level will also be considered for this position.
