Under the general direction of the Administrator II of the Audit Academy, the incumbent will support the Audit Division. The incumbent will serve as an instructor and team member in the planning, coordination, and development associated with training and procedure writing for the Audit Division. The incumbent will design and develop training materials necessary to train audit staff on the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) systems, audit policies, procedures and audit techniques. Development of curriculum includes identifying the objectives, instructor manuals/guides, reference materials, visual aids, and audit issue specific exercises. Update training materials to incorporate the latest training techniques and practices, incorporate interactive training activities that apply "adult learning principles". The incumbent will deliver training to new and existing audit staff and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for working with Audit Supervisors and Managers to determine training needs by identifying required skill sets, evaluating performance, and tracking progress. Minimal travel may be necessary.
Incumbent must be able to work during peak seasons: July - August and February - March.

- Experience working with FTB's systems such as Professional Audit Support System (PASS), Taxpayer Folder (TPF), Case Management (CM), Business Entities Tax System (BETS), and Taxpayer Information (TI).
- Experience conducting training or presenting in a virtual or in-person classroom format.
