Duties

  • Assists in the development of reporting requirements for the preparation, collection, justification, and submission of budgetary data. Reviews, analyzes, edits, and consolidates budget submissions for assigned activities.
  • Monitors the execution of approved budgets, to include obligations, expenditures and/or income.
  • Assists with the overall issuance of APF/NAF execution reports and maintaining the financial integrity of applicable databases/financial information.

  • Applicants that do not reside in the local commuting area (defined as a 30-mile radius) of Natick, MA MUST be willing to relocate to the commuting area AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE no later than 15 days after receipt of an Official Job Offer.


Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:
  • familiar with basic principles and practices of budget formulations to written funding justifications, consolidating budget requests, requesting additional funds, and monitoring expenditures against obligations for specified programs, AND
  • experience balancing funds between accounts; i.e., transferring funds between line items or sub-projects or identifying excess funds for possible transfer to other operating programs, AND
  • the ability to deal tactfully with all levels of the organization/serviced organizational elements (ex. Chain-of-command), AND
  • familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.

PCS Costs

  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is NOT in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials

  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Night differential and Sunday Premium Pay have NOT been authorized by the Garrison Commander for Non-Bargaining NF positions and will not be paid to any Non-Bargaining NF employees.

Incentives and Bonuses

  • Incentives will NOT be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances

  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
    • Payband employees in pay levels NF-3 and above, are entitled to receive nonforeign area allowances and differentials in the same amounts and under the same eligibility criteria prescribed for APF employees in the same locality.
