Duties

The Building Support Technician (Laundry) performs laundry services in the Court's laundry facility. Launders and presses a wide variety of garments and fabrics. Processes laundry tasks through completion including sorting, washing, pressing, folding, stacking, and hanging as required. Inspects garments for damage, excessive wear or failure to properly clean and reports findings to appropriate person; maintains records of work performed and provides details to supervisor; performs daily routine maintenance of equipment such as washers, dryers, pressers and irons; maintains a clean and safe work area; maintains required stocks of supplies and informs supervisor of needed materials. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Prior laundry experience desirable. Must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 35 pounds; prolonged periods of standing, lifting, bending and reaching are required. Knowledge of safety procedures when working with laundry equipment; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to perform under pressure, communicate and interact in a professional and cooperative manner.

Education

High school education is required.
