Tasks

• Processing of purchase orders in SAP.
• Sourcing and negotiating of components.
• Ownership of purchase orders: follow through from requisition, quotation, order acknowledgement and delivery.
• Work closely with Planning to ensure smooth flow in production.
• Drive strategic supplier consolidation for different brands across electrical portfolio.
• Intercompany quoting for other Bühler companies.
• Identify and evaluate purchase price variances, comparing purchase price versus standard cost.
• Support inventory management on electrical components.
• Attention to detail to ensuring correctness of order confirmations and ensure PO's are accurate.
• Effective at expediting and follow-through on orders.
• Resolves invoice discrepancies.
• Processing of return shipments.
• Communication with internal and external customers.
• Help find solutions to supply chain issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

• 2-5 Years Purchasing experience.
• Experience with electrical components is desired.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Detailed oriented and accurate with data entry.
• Experience SAP or other ERP Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship building skills to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities; able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing internally and externally.
• Flexible, willingness to be able to adapt to change.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
