Primary Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
This position reviews specifications on blueprints, to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.

Responsibilities include:

* Measuring and cutting materials to the correct size

* Working with various types of materials

* Using hand tools, machines and power saws accurately

* Assembles materials together to make products

* Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk and marking gauge

* Shape or cuts materials, such as plywood, drywall, various interior panels, exterior aggregate, vinyl, cedar siding, insulation, tiles, etc. to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines or power saw

* Assembles and fastens materials to make framework, using hand tools, screws, nails, glue etc.

* Installs components, such as windows, frames, insulation, rain hoods, trim, floor tiles, etc. using carpenter hand and power tools

* Reviews specifications on blueprints, to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required

* Loads and moves materials to area, using hand truck or dolly

* Additional items as assigned by manager

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

This position interacts with production managers, carpentry assemblers and other shop personnel.
