Dedicated local drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.

• Competitive pay:
• Average $1,170 per week/$61,000 annually
• Starting pay of $27.81 per hour
• 3% pay increase annually
• Home daily
• Monday - Friday;occasional weekend work
• Will be paid overtime at time and a half
• During peak season, May through September driver will work for primary customer
• Shift is 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• During off season, driver will fill-in for other accounts/customers
• Must obtain flatbed certification as one of the fill-in accounts requires this
• All drop and hook, no-touch freight
• Drivers will move the customers and 3rd party vendor cargo/empty trailers from and to Arlington, TX and Grand Prairie, TX
• The day cab truck will be shared between two drivers

• Must live within a 50-mile radius
• Must have 6 months' verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years with Hazmat endorsement
• Must have Class A CDL
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have or be willing to obtain flatbed certification
• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
• No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
• No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years
• No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential Functions:

• Open/Close trailer door - force requirement: 46 lbs
• Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs
• Perform pre-trip inspections
• Drive
• Regular predictable attendance
• Frequent bending for placement of wheel chocks
• Safely enter/exit yard tractor 100+ times per shift
