About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Cloud Engineer based in Shelton, CT. This hybrid position is primarily responsible for managing Active Directory and security vulnerabilities. They are expected to perform Active Directory troubleshooting, enhancements, and upgrades (server, functional level changes, replications, etc). They will be responsible for implementing best practices within AD relative to design of GPO's, OU's, FSMO roles and creating documentation. This position will also provide mentoring for operations engineers. They will also be the primary point of contact for security vulnerabilities across on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Works closely with Security on identifying system vulnerabilities.
  • Research security vulnerabilities and create remediation plans.
  • Drives hardening standards and implements according to CIS/NIST best practices.
  • Owns and is accountable for AD and AAD health.
  • Leads best practices for the use of GPO's and machine administration.
  • Handle incident escalations from Infrastructure teams.
  • Perform upgrades and manage AD environment.
  • Work with Infra architects and InfoSec to create standards and processes.
  • Coach Infrastructure colleagues on AD and Vulnerability remediation and best practices.


Qualifications (some examples listed below):
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred-Technology, Cloud Engineering, Server Mgt or technical certification equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience managing, troubleshooting, and enhancing Active Directory.
  • 8+ years of experience with Windows system administration.
  • 5+ years' experience creating and managing Group Policy Objects.
  • 5+ years' experience provisioning / upgrading domain controllers, upgrading functional levels, managing trusts, replications and FMSO roles.
  • Strong understanding of CIS standards and security best practices for Windows, Linux, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Rapid7 strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Okta and Azure AD strongly preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Takes initiative, highly accountable self-starter.
