Schedule: Part Time

Shift: Mon-Thurs 4pm-9pm

The role you'll contribute: The Concierge serves as a resource for outpatient staff, visitors, and patients to enhance the patient experience. The Concierge creates the WOW experience for outpatients and manages the main lobby of the hospital for visitor information needs. Actively participates in extending exemplary service to both internal and external customers and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Ensuring that patients are appropriately checked-in for all service lines. Maintains a close working relationship with clinical partners to ensure continual open communication between clinical, ancillary and patient access departments.

The Concierge will perform all activities in compliance with applicable state, federal, or regulatory guidelines

• Greets all patients and assist with patient and visitor needs.

• Checks in patients for all services (i.e., outpatient Radiology, Outpatient Cardiology, inpatient, observation, same day surgery, outpatient in a bed, etc.) and achieves the department specific goal for accuracy

• Tracks patient wait times in real-time.

• Provides the highest level of customer service.

• Coordinates volunteers and student workers for miscellaneous job duties.

• Directs volunteers, students, staff to assist visitor and patient needs at main entrance.

• Reports any delays in registration to supervisor immediately.

• Explains delays to patients and visitors.

• Assists patients and/or visitors with any needs, such as refreshments, magazines, etc.

• Serves as a contact person for hospital information needs, such as physician directories, billing office information, hospital directories, etc.

• Escorts patients to destinations, or coordinates an escort via students, volunteers, staff.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
  • High School Grad or Equivalent; 1+ years experience
  • One year of relevant healthcare experience preferred
  • One year of customer service experience preferred
  • One year of direct Patient Access experience preferred
  • Associate's degree preferred
