System One is currently seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Bridgeton, MO.

Responsibilities:
  • Design controls systems for assembly and test equipment needed to support production processes.
  • Develop code and programs for equipment controls and user interfaces using several different platforms (C, C++, PLC)
  • Generate schematics and drawings for control systems.
  • Perform pneumatic assembly and electrical wiring.
  • Oversees equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers at all manufacturing sites.
  • Investigate new technologies for manufacturing process needs.
  • DFMA analysis of both new and existing products
  • Provide technical advice and support for AME and R&D Engineering.
  • Assist in troubleshooting existing production equipment.
  • Other assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor and/or manager.
  • 10-20% work travel required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
  • 3+ years' professional experience in a similar role, 5-10 years' professional experience preferred.
  • C, C++, PLC, and HMI programming and diagnostics experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of electronic parts and specifications.
  • Strong leadership skills working in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven Project Management experience.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience assisting with NPIs.
  • 2D AutoCAD and schematic creation.
  • Powered holding and test equipment design experience.
  • Experience with robotic and automated cells, preferred.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, Creo preferred.
  • Capital equipment procurement experience, preferred.
