What we need from you:
  • Always deliver a high customer service experience to internal and external customers
  • Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints
  • Carry out all customer service activities such as generating paperwork for customer work orders, responding to inquiries, processing orders and handling complaints, in a prompt, courteous and effective manner
  • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems
  • Manage and maintain all paperwork and record keeping related to orders, customer interactions or transactions, details of inquiries, complaints or comments, as well as actions taken
  • Schedule shipments by calendar to ensure all loads can be shipped as planned
  • Coordinate with other CSRs, Warehouse Operators, Brokers and carrier agents to accomplish shipping
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Assign drivers to proper doors for their deliveries or pickups and communicate this to the warehouse
  • Ensure that drivers pick up and deliver the correct orders
  • Verifying accuracy of shipped and received loads before closing
  • Determine proper storage areas for incoming and outgoing loads
  • Record damage, shortages or any discrepancies
  • Responsible for having UWC Transportation loads preloaded on time for delivery
  • Responsible to communicate with the Yard Spotter on empty trailers and trailers to be spotted
  • Process freight orders and bills of landing and ensure drivers sign all necessary paperwork
  • Work out of a cubicle answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling and other clerical duties as directed
  • Run stock reports to check for product availability and ensure proper stock rotation
  • Check all orders for special requests and post inventory records • Assist, coordinate and conduct physical and cycle counts

What we need from you:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years Customer Service experience
  • 10 key
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with database, accounting and enterprise resource planning software
