Description
SAIC is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Writer in support of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) cybersecurity mission to ensure HHS can actively protect the vital health information with which it is entrusted, respond to existing and emerging cybersecurity threats, and continue to enhance the program to ensure HHS has the capability and capacity to respond to new and emerging requirements, technologies and threats. The role is directly in support of the Project Management Services team and will support project teams and system owners in ensuring solutions meet business needs.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Proofread documents to ensure the accuracy of format, proper semantic/syntactic use, spelling, and punctuation.
• Checking and correcting the content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and coherence; style; grammar; parallel structure; and cross-referencing.
• Format documents, both technical and non-technical, in accordance with AP style guidelines, client-specific style guides, and other guides as appropriate.
• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
• Researching highly technical subject matter to develop and maintain technical documentation, including implementation and end-user guides for capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
• Assist in planning, drafting, and developing communications products, plans, and engagement strategies to address various complex scientific research topics.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience, Associates and 5+ years of experience or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree. Must have the adequate knowledge and skills to learn and perform the described job.
- 5 years of years of writing experience is preferred
- Proficient in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Experience with business analysis, requirements management, and direct stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be a self-starter, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
