DATA ANALYST - POWER BI VISUALIZATION

(Based in Plano, TX)

We are looking for a Data Analyst - Power BI Visualization who will report to the Director of Finance - Global Retail & Sales (North America), and who’ll be tasked with ensuring the reporting and analytical needs of the finance team are exceeded. As part of your role, you’ll be helping design analytics dashboards with cutting-edge interface practices for our users’ experience. You’ll be significantly contributing to influence and guide business questions through effective digital reporting design and insightful visualizations. The role will leverage analytical tools and methodologies to recommend plans to drive sales growth, improve margins and optimize inventory levels. You’ll be part of the analytics team that is central to steering the operational and strategic activities of BRP.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
  • R ead and identify gaps in current reports/metrics/processes and work with appropriate groups
  • Design the layout and structure of MS Power BI dashboards and reports supported by domain best practices to maximize user adoption. Leverage Microsoft Power BI to create an engaging reporting environment for the sales team
  • Optimize and discover new design solutions for the current wallet of dashboards, reports, and scorecards
  • F ully assess data and quickly attack to provide insights by visually representing data
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve the analytics visualization toolbox and guidelines
  • Report on the progress of business impact for senior-level presentation
  • Collaborate with North America Unit team to provide necessary analytics in preparation for business planning & update meetings and any other data needs.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Data Science or relevant job experience is required
  • 1 plus year of hands-on work experience in data visualization with Power BI (including DAX language and measures) and in utilizing SQL (including writing and updating SQL queries to pull and transform complex data sets for analysis)
  • At least 6 months of powersports industry experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative: Demonstrated track record of initiating and successfully implementing projects or ideas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and departments.

Preferred:
  • Ability to clearly present processes and findings to a non-analytical audience coupled with the ability to story tell with data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
