As a Data Scientist, you will engage in comprehensive analytic support across the entire intelligence lifecycle, from gathering and refining requirements to translating them into technical specifications. Your role will encompass environment setup, exploratory data analysis, and the development and assessment of models, culminating in the extraction of insights and their translation for a non-technical audience. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to pinpoint appropriate data sources and utilize existing infrastructure is key, as is the creation of bespoke analytic products that align with mission objectives. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for teamwork and customer relations, ensuring that your analytic outputs effectively highlight trends, uncover hidden patterns, and provide actionable insights.

- Participate in architectural design discussions
- Help make decisions on changes cloud infrastructure as needed to accommodate changing user requirements
- Consider cost trade-offs of various cloud environment configurations and contribute to budget discussions
What you need to have
- Must maintain an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data science and analytics, or 8-10 years without a degree
- Proficiency in Python for Data Cleaning/Wrangling, EDA, Statistical Analysis, and Visualization
- Agile development experience, familiarity with Jira
- Required certifications: AWS Certified Developer Associate
What we'd like you to have
- Understanding of version control, testing, and debugging.
- Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.
- Familiarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
- Strong communications skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to various stakeholders and audiences
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
