Overview and Responsibilities

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Department Supervisor to join Murray Operations Division. Responsible for managing and directing the activities of the department's employees including ensuring resources are utilized efficiently, in accordance with department objectives and in ways that consistently promote patient quality and employee satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Aggressively manages any and all non-conformances in a timely, complete and professional manner
  • Aids in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve efficiencies and quality within the department
  • Approves and or denies employee request for time off based on assessment of departmental needs
  • Assigns workloads to associates while managing department time off calendars
  • Conducts employee counseling as needed for attendance, work performance and policy violations
  • Ensures all productivity standards are met in a timely manner through measuring and monitoring
  • Ensures team members maintain full conformance with policy requirements
  • Gathers and analyzes information in order to provide recommendations on various issues
  • Identifies team and individual training needs and assists in developing plans for immediate and long-term performance improvements
  • Interviews and hires staff as needed and approved by department manager with emphasis on recommending the best-qualified candidates
  • Manages all team leads and direct reports within their department
  • Monitors and documents employee performance results along with providing feedback to associates to emphasize continuous improvement
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities of associates while striving to increase productivity and efficiencies
  • Provides management support and leadership initiative as needed to the Call Center facility
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on
  • Background investigation (company-wide)
  • Drug screen ( when applicable for the position )
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Experience in medical field and administrative record management, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred
  • Three to five years of team lead experience or supervisory experience
  • Experience in a team-oriented environment, preferred
  • Strong customer service in centralized contact center background, preferred

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Knowledge of medical equipment, preferred
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry office equipment at times around the office
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer / tablet and or paperwork

  • Basic computer skills
  • Email transmission and communication
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications; Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer / tablet
