The Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for the safe, efficient and responsible use of technology throughout the agency. ITS provides solutions that support DODD business.

What will you do?

The Deputy Director (Chief Information Officer) for the Division of Information Technology Services serves as the leader & manager for a multi-million dollar, multi-section Information Systems Division with over 2000 customers throughout the state.

Some responsibilities of the Deputy Director (Chief Information Officer) may include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops & implements strategic & operating plans for information systems based on requirements, funding available & industry best practices.
  • Manages & oversees all IT functions
    • Systems scope includes: (1) Central Office Administrative Systems used by over 300 staff members; (2) Statewide Community Systems, including web-based applications deployed to 88 county boards; & (3) systems used by eight agency operated Developmental Centers which provide services & supports to approximately 2000 individuals with DODD.
  • Responsible for developing the budget for Information Technology Services
  • Develops policies & procedures for information systems data security, disaster recovery, systems operations, appropriate systems use etc.
  • Provides counsel & advice to superiors, agency personnel & internal/external customers on all matters relating to information technology & systems.
  • Testifies at State Controlling Board regarding data information technology related matters.
  • Serves as a member of the Director's leadership team & leads collaboration with other departments to reach department goals.
