SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?

You are an organized, strategic, creative, and analytical marketer who wants to impact all stages of the digital marketing funnel and consumer journey. Learning from seasoned channel experts, this role is ideal for anyone wanting to refine their digital marketing skill set by supporting the delivery of brand, product, and commercial initiatives/campaigns. You have a knack for organization and are highly collaborative; you will be partnering with a wide range of cross-functional regional and global stakeholders, aiming to bring to life the digital strategy for the Dr. Martens Americas' e-commerce organization.

THE GIG

The Digital Marketing Specialist will report to the Digital Marketing Manager - Affiliates, while supporting the entire Digital Marketing team (channels include: affiliates, paid media partnerships, paid social, paid and organic search, video/display, email and SMS). Day-to-day support will adjust seasonally based on team's needs; however, majority of time will be dedicated to affiliate/partnerships and paid media channels, supporting campaign planning/project management, campaign building/production, QA, and reporting. Role responsibilities include:

Paid Channel Support - 60% of role
  • Execute against affiliate and partner marketing strategies to expand program reach and drive performance
  • Support affiliate and paid media channel managers with campaign setup and builds within ad platforms (not limited to Google, Bing, Meta, TikTok) in accordance with outlined strategies, methodologies, and budget.
  • Audit campaigns and provide refreshment recommendations.
  • Ongoing competitive and best in class industry/channel insight gathering to arm the Digital Marketing Team to optimize internal programs and testing roadmaps.
  • Partner with channel owners on potential coverage support for key holidays (i.e. Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Week) as needed on a predetermined basis.


Administrative - 30% of role
  • Collaborate with global and regional brand, digital, site merchandising/content/operations teams.
  • Coordinate, track, and document regional execution plans within our project management system (Asana) for brand, product, and commercial initiatives that require digital marketing support.
  • Organize campaign materials and communicate to appropriate cross-functional team members.
  • Occasional event and meeting coordination and/or note-taking.


Reporting & Ad-Hoc Projects - 10% of role
  • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly channel, campaign, and testing performance reporting.
  • QA support for digital marketing channels where needed (i.e. promo code functionality, customer journeys).
  • Ad hoc research assignments to support.
  • Own the monthly internal digital newsletter - highlighting competitor activity, industry benchmarks/trends, as well as showcasing the team's applied learnings via tests/implementation.


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
  • 1-2 year(s) of experience with a media agency, E-Commerce, or marketing organization (knowledge of affiliate and paid media channels a plus).
  • Interest in strengthening their digital marketing, paid media and/or e-commerce expertise.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organization, proactiveness, attention to detail (experience with Asana and JIRA a plus).
  • A passion for digital media, testing methodologies and optimization (experience with Google, Bing, Meta, TikTok engines a plus).
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset (experience with Google Analytics 4 or comparable analytics tools a plus).
