The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. Our product engineering team is responsible for building an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure and intuitive for our users. What You'll Do:
- Team Leadership: building up and managing the Global E-Commerce Growth Team in the US, which is a fullstack engineering team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to help team members achieve their goals and drive results.
- User Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to acquire new users through various channels such as organic search, paid advertising, referral programs, and partnerships.
- User Retention and Engagement: Implement tactics to retain existing users and increase their engagement with the product. This may include personalized messaging, targeted promotions, and product optimization.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools to track user behavior, identify patterns, and measure the effectiveness of growth initiatives. Use insights from data analysis to make data-driven decisions and optimize growth strategies.
- Experimentation and Optimization: Conduct A/B tests and experiments to optimize various aspects of the user journey, including onboarding, feature adoption, and conversion funnel.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product development, marketing, and other teams to align growth initiatives with overall business objectives. Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to user growth.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to user growth, such as acquisition cost, retention rate, and lifetime value. Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on the progress of growth initiatives.
- Leadership and Advocacy: Serve as a leader and advocate for user-centric principles within the organization. Champion a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and customer obsession to drive sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 5 years managing or tech-leading a software engineering team.
- 5 years of large scale backend system development experience.
- Proven experience with Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Proven communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in leading a full-stack team.
- Experience in machine learning.
