Insight Global is seeking Dispatchers to join a team in Houston TX, on a 14 day out of 28 day schedule. This role sits onsite near Memorial City at a premier chemistry company. Half of this team is on night shift and the other half on day shift. This is a direct hire salaried position but will only work 14 days out of a 28 day schedule. This team his is a 24/7, 365 day a year team. This role is a purchase to completion, full cycle dispatching position. The Dispatcher will take orders, put it in TMS, communicate to manufacturing facility to let them know the order has been placed, find out when it will be out on time, notify customers, communicate with all of the carriers to find a truck and driver for that shipment, and finally get it dispatched out. Dispatcher is responsible for assigning drivers to trucks and providing accurate directions to well site locations or facilities. Dispatchers communicate with drivers via phone, GPS, or two way radios. They will communicate via email, phone, or text to internal and external customers to keep an open line of communication for order placement and status updates through the order life cycle.

Required Skills & Experience

Excellent customer service experience from a chemicals, manufacturing, or oil/gas background

Experience with sales orders, transfer orders, purchase orders in the order life cycle

Previous dispatching experience for any mode of transportation

Experience working in a Transportation Management System

Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Microsoft Office D365 experience

Shipping experience via Rail - UP, VN, KCS

International shipping experience
