Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking an EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT TECHNICIAN to join our team!

The Emergency Department Technician is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

HOURS: This position is Occasional/as needed; 0 FTE. Night Shift. Weekend Rotation.

Experience/Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program; or
• enrolled in nursing courses with anticipated eligibility to sit for LPN or RN licensure exam within one year of hire; or
• certified nursing assistant; or
• have completed the EMT basic course.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Previous experience in pre-hospital emergency care, acute care hospital, or emergency department preferred.
