The Role

As an Executive Technical Recruiter with Lumen, you will have the opportunity to source and hire top-level talent into our organization. You will specialize in finding, attracting, and hiring senior-level talent for technical roles that exist today while maintaining robust connections in the market of currently employed executives for roles that may exist tomorrow. This role reports directly to a Director of Talent Acquisition and is an individual contributor. You will partner with talent acquisition leads and senior management to identify critical staffing needs and develop strategies to evaluate the suitability and promise of candidates for the organizational culture and vision.

Location

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Approach work with a growth mindset, through a deep understanding of the industry and talent market.
  • Drive customer obsession, building strong networks of C-level leaders at top firms in their fields.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify and target potential candidates for executive technical roles.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, such as referrals, networking, social media, events, and headhunting, to attract passive and active candidates.
  • Screen and evaluate candidates' resumes, portfolios, and online profiles, and conduct phone, video, or in-person interviews to assess their technical skills, experience, and fit.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the hiring process, providing personalized feedback, negotiating offers, and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with candidates, clients, and stakeholders, and provide regular updates and follow-ups.
  • Provide guidance and advice to hiring managers and candidates on best practices, market trends, and industry insights.


What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least twelve years of experience in recruitment, preferably for senior-level positions.
  • Proficient in using various recruitment tools and platforms, such as applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, SeekOut, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and others.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing, attracting, and hiring executive talent in a competitive market.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent knowledge of the technical landscape, including the latest technologies, tools, platforms, and frameworks.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High-level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to drive clarity and transparency through outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills


Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
