Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a F35 Flight Test Engineer , in Niceville FL who will provide technical and project management assistance to the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Test Center (AATC) in support of Air Dominance flight test programs as an operational/developmental test representative and flight test engineer. Technical support will overlap systems integration amongst all F-35 mission sets performed by Guard and Reserve forces, and duties will include, but not be limited to software candidate management; test plan formulation; test infrastructure scheduling and management; software configuration control; test conduct; data management; data analysis; solution proposals and management. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for interfacing with USAF Test Enterprises and providing input to developing open architecture systems for this mission area.

Responsibilities:
As a F35 Flight Test Engineer with MTSI, the candidate will assess new technologies, plan/execute/report on AATC F-35 flight tests and advise government personnel on changes and technical developments in F-35 systems technologies.
Your primary responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
- Work closely with AATC Directors, the F-35 Joint Program Office, and industry vendors to implement commercial and/or government off-the-shelf and developmental improvements.
- Be responsible for both conceptual and technical implementation of required software and hardware architectures.
- Should be well-versed in data analysis along with various software and hardware tools to enable these.
- Should have a firm understanding of Air Force test processes as well as the operation and tactical applications of airborne systems and their interfaces.
- Directly support AATC in the development of advanced combat systems from cradle to grave in an independent, high-energy environment and will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots, and other aircrew.
- Must have a can-do attitude and be self-starting, ambitious, and hard-working.
- Minimum 7 years' of experience in operational/developmental test, software testing, or practical engineering.
- Possess a strong desire to learn new systems and propose new ideas for warfare subsystem design and/or integration.
- Must have strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
- Should have good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and proficient in productivity software suites such as Microsoft Office.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in software testing and engineering and/or flight test in support of military acquisitions/sustainment.
- USAF or equivalent Test Pilot School graduate.
- Familiarity with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, AIM-120 / AIM-9 weapon systems, aircraft data links, infrared phenomenology, and open mission systems.
- Background in special access programs.
- Familiarity with Aircraft Ethernet Bus and MIL-STD-1553.
- B.S. in technical discipline is required, preferably in engineering (astronautical, aeronautical, electrical, computer, mechanical, systems) or computer science.
- Master's degree in a technical discipline, Desired.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Eligible to obtain Top Secret security clearance, Special Access Program (SAP) access.
- Active TS/SCI, highly desired.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Travel expected approximately monthly with typical trips occurring intraweek. Starting travel may be up to 50% but decrease to 20% travel as AATC F-35 program matures at Eglin AFB FL. Occasional OCONUS travel may be required.
