Amazon Stores Finance directly supports Amazon's Stores business. Our job is to partner with the business to plan, analyze, measure, and grow our global business. We are strategic partners with Amazon's Stores businesses, and we deliver results for Amazon's customers. We have a strong understanding of Store's business strategy, operating principles, and customer experience goals - and you'll find us sitting right beside our customers. We contribute to business decisions by providing insightful analysis of all metrics and processes, inventing new ones where needed and simplifying and automating wherever possible. We methodically establish, evaluate, and improve end-to-end processes, financial controls, and capital investment.

We are World Wide Store's financial partners. We lead decision support, planning, analysis, and reporting. We love data and metrics, and use that information to support business decisions and activities by filling several roles across the organization.

Our Roles

- Initiatives: Create financial models for new operations and new businesses, and support them as they grow

- Analytics and Modeling: Work with data and create systems to identify and drive good business decisions

- Planning: Own data and closing activities, annual and long-range planning cycles, and critical metrics for respective operations

- Technology: Create systems to manage the business effectively and efficiently, automating manual processes wherever possible

- Controllership: Create and maintain internal control mechanisms that ensure fiduciary responsibility

- Capital Investment: Plan, execute, and record investments, and measure their performance over time

- Data Ownership: Continually improve data processes, security, and accuracy

- Allocation: Assign costs to the appropriate business, segment, or asset

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)

- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, or CPA

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
