PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Performs economic evaluations related to capital expenditures, acquisitions, joint ventures, analytical studies, and mergers. Coordinates with various departments to review, analyze and present financial information, prepare forecasts and budgets, and recommend areas for improvement. Conducts business or financial analysis projects and research.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Conducts business, financial, operating, and economic evaluations of capital expenditures, acquisitions, and mergers for business units using discounted cash flow and other measures.

Supports the review and analysis of GROWMARK monthly financial statements and preparation of the monthly Board Financial Report and other related reports.

Prepares the Supplies and/or Grain Comparative Analyses and related awards programs.

Assists in the planning for and preparation of the GROWMARK budget, long-range financial plan, year end estimate and/or annual patronage calculation.

Provides support for department software applications, interaction and data mining. These include but are not limited to BPC, SAP general ledger reporting, and Vistex.

Assists in the annual Base Capital Plan calculation. Manages the safekeeping of stockholder records in legacy system and in Vistex.

Maintains corporate stock records including B-stock. Responds to requests from external auditors, GROWMARK staff, and members on stock holdings and activity. Provides assistance as related to Annual Meeting Shareholder Registration and reporting.

Leads and assists in membership and stock activity including membership applications, development of Board memos, maintenance of corporate databases, and internal/external communications.

Assists with Bank Compliance Reporting.

Supports in the research and promotion of best business and financial analysis practices throughout the GROWMARK System.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists Assistant Treasurer, and Treasurer as requested.

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business, or the equivalent thereof, and two years or more of business analysis, finance, or accounting-related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of business and financial analysis expertise.

Prefer an advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA/CMA/CFP&A) to demonstrate an advanced knowledge of business and financial analysis.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.

Prefer an understanding of the GROWMARK System including member cooperative, retail, and subsidiary company operations along with corporate and member financing.

Proven computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn/use various software applications.

Normally requires an acceptable NON-CDL driving license and satisfactory driving record.

Ability to work hours necessary to provide appropriate customer service.

Ability to travel independently and overnight.

Passport (or ability to obtain) required.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
