The Department of Corrections is recruiting to fill a Financial Program Supervisor position. This position is based out of the Bureau of Correctional Enterprises (BCE) at Central Office, Madison, Dane County.

Position Summary

This position supervises and directs the work of the positions working in the BCE Finance Unit.

This position manages the Bureau's financial activities and reporting, such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), purchasing, fleet, and asset tracking.

This position also contributes to the preparation and monitoring of BCE budgets, revenue and spending plans.

This position advises the BCE director and administrator's office on the best courses of action to maintain and improve current operations and help identify, develop, fund, and implement BCE priorities.

This position will travel to BCE worksites as needed.

Salary Information

This position is in pay schedule and range 81-03 and offers pay starting from $30.00/hour - $43.46/hour .

Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire.

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid in-office and remote work schedule. This position is FLSA Exempt. A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Normal schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM with a forty-five minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have:

Experience performing financial transactions in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Experience developing or assisting in the development of financial policies and/or procedures

Experience training others in financial tasks or procedures

Experience leading, supervising, or directing the work of other staff members
