Our WestRock- Star Pizza Box plant in Johnstown, OH, is seeking qualified candidates to fill Forklift/Clamp Truck Driver in the production department. Monday - Friday 6:30am -3:00pm. First Day Benefits!

The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, good communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experience in a manufacturing, and a strong desire to succeed and advance in the company.

How you will Impact WestRock:

• Ability to print and read roll tags.
• Ability to perform the clerical duties on the production report.
• Ability to achieve reasonable quality and quantity goals.
• Ability to check material against order specifications.
• Verify the incoming roll-stock with the supplier's shipping manifest and file report on the railcar.
• Accountable for machine quality and order quantities.
• Allowable overrun or underrun percentage.
• Maintain work area and make sure machine is in clean and orderly condition.
• Must be able to take on other duties as assigned by the area manager.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be quality conscious.
• Understand lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety precautions to ensure protection of personnel doing repairs and machine cleaning.

What you need to succeed

• Preferred 3-5 recent years of forklift/Clamp truck experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Good communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff.
• Must be flexible on shift as overtime is required.
• Must pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• HS diploma or GED required.
