Job Skills / Requirements

PJS is hiring a full-time Day Porters for one of our buildings located at The Domain.

The Day Porters will be responsible for making sure the building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times - especially between routine cleaning maintenance activities. The Day Porter will also ensure the building is safe for all occupants if any unexpected incidents arise, like slippery floors or broken glass.

Payrate is $17.00/hr DOE. Schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain lobbies clean.
• Maintain common areas clean.
• Maintain restrooms clean.
• Maintain nursing rooms clean.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and nursing rooms as necessary.
• Service kitchen, cafeteria, and/or break rooms (particularly before and after busy times).
• Perform continuous touch-point cleaning to reduce the spread of illness by eliminating bacteria and germs.
• Respond to spills and other cleaning emergencies.
• Remove or warn of safety hazards, such as objects in the way of pedestrians or wet floors.
• Remove litter and debris from entrances and parking lots.
• Other duties as assigned.

Abilities and Requirements:

• Must be willing to work assigned hours (Monday-Friday)
• Ability to write, read and speak English.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the shift.
• Ability to frequently bend, kneel, reach, and twist throughout the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift between 25lbs-50lbs frequently throughout the duration of the shift.
• Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
