Level Two: Level two heading machine operators work under minimal supervision to operate and perform basic setups of heading machines. Basic familiarity with progressive header tooling. Assume knowledge and skills from Level 1. This role requires intermediate competencies in print reading and inspection processes, as well as basic trouble shooting. Basic operation of induction heating equipment. 1-3 Years.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Correctly interpret work orders
  • Lift up to 30lbs
  • Basic machine setups - which includes punch and die stack-ups
  • Full in process inspection and knowledge of 3 pan rule
  • Understanding of scrap and yield loss.
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Basic understanding of induction heating equipment including induction coil installation

Required Skills:
  • The ability to read and write English.
  • Intermediate print reading & inspection processes
  • The ability to use intermediate inspection tools such micrometers, calipers, comparators
  • Basic familiarity of header tooling & equipment (Progressive & Non-Progressive)
  • Basic knowledge of wire material & coatings
  • Basic tool modification requirements

Experience & Education
  • Typically 1-3 Years of Experience
  • GED or High school diploma preferred but not required.
