Under the general direction of the Health Program Manager I, Contract Oversight, Health Care Facility Support (HCFS), the Health Program Specialist I monitors and audits the Environmental Services and Healthcare Facility Maintenance (HFM) programs at California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutions to ensure compliance with statewide contractual agreements, program policies and procedures, and regulations and standards for environmental services. The incumbent will support institution staff with the development and implementation of local operational procedures, training, self-auditing, and systems evaluation. Statewide travel is required (up to 30%).
