Job Summary: Administer policies and procedures, and perform essential services for all phases of safety and environmental activity personally or through other employees.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and two to four years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be highly proficient in the English language
- Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, problem solving, teamwork, record keeping, and organizational skills
- Must be able to work with little to no supervision and research information
- Must be able to work effectively with all levels of plant personnel
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS18001 or ISO45001 preferred
- Responsible for the creation, coordination, and implementation of in-house Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, including related employee training and other instruction in the safe handling and use of company product, materials and/or equipment
- Represent EHS department in the monthly Safety Committee and EMS Team meetings and to coordinate the timely closure of all safety and environmental related matters
- Lead and conduct internal audits for EHS including Plant Safety Walks, SWP3 and ISO14001 at your home plant and other plants with in the Metallics Business Unit
- Submit all environmental reporting to appropriate government agencies
- Schedule and coordinate all external audits as required by the EMS
- Act as first aid responder and focal point for all emergency services
- Conduct monthly in-house workplace Safety and Environmental inspections
- Assist employees with safety and environmental related concerns, make decisions to resolve problems whenever possible or consult supervisor and/or senior management for resolutions
- Assist the plant nurse and Regional Manager-EHS with the administration of Workers Comp claims and the ESRTW program
- Perform safety and environmental audits on employees and machines to ensure enforcement of EHS practices and policies
- Assist with document control of all internal management systems
- Develop, track, and distribute weekly and monthly statistical analysis for EHS at both the plant and corporate level
- Oversee recordkeeping/filing for all EHS materials
- Present Environmental, Health and Safety statistics and corrective actions on EHS Communication Boards or in plant wide meetings to all managers/employees as needed
- Other duties or responsibilities assigned by the EHS Manager
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
