At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Responsibilities:
• 8+ year experience within a lead role
• Developing Java and Spring boot components
• Creating/consuming REST APIs. Zelle / RTP - BFS payment knowledge experience
• Cloud (AWS) and Openshift experience preferred
• Working experience with web application development
• Unit testing capabilities using JUnits.
• Have implemented Swagger UI in REST Services testing
• Experienced in pipeline setup with GitLab using tools like GIT, SONAR, black duck etc., is added advantage
• Strong technical leadership skills and Agile environment experience

Required Skill:
• JAVA FSE with above 8+ years
• BFS payment experience - Zelle/RTP associates are preferred
• Hands on experience in JAVA latest versions, Spring boot, Microservices, SQL
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in OpenShift
• Good knowledge on Kubernetes, Docker, AWS is an added advantage.
• BFS payment experience - Zelle/RTP associates are preferred
