The Lead Tutor position is designed for any tutor within the Learning Support department who is in good standing with Weber State Univeristy, and has met all the requirements to become a Master Tutor. The Lead Tutor will collaborate closely with the coordinator to implement initiatives in the Learning Center. The Lead Tutor will be required to assist with the following:

Job Summary/Basic Function
The Lead Tutor position is designed for any tutor within the Learning Support department who is in good standing with Weber State Univeristy, and has met all the requirements to become a Master Tutor. The Lead Tutor will collaborate closely with the coordinator to implement initiatives in the Learning Center. The Lead Tutor will be required to assist with the following:
- Participate in tutor training orientation with new tutors
- Develop tutor training modules in conjunction with tutoring coordinators
- Plan and help facilitate staff meetings
- Mentor, observe, and evaluate new and returning tutors
- Lead a small cohort of new tutors
- Participate in lead tutor meetings
- Assist in hiring events to recruit new tutors
- Tutor students
- Other duties as assigned
- Master Tutor status
- Be in good standing with Weber State University
- Tutored at least two semesters at the Learning Center
- Demonstrate Master Tutor skills consistently
- Received proficiency level scores from supervisor
- Commit a minimum of 10 hours a week in the Learning Center
