The Department of Fine Arts at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a Full-Time Lecturer in Sculpture and Spatial Studies. This position is a one-year, renewable faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching a 4/4 load (24 credit hours per year). Internal funding to support creative activity is available. Participation in assessment is expected and service to the department must be provided as needed. Willingness to assist in the recruitment and retention of students is required. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated start date is August 2024. Review of applications will begin February 9, 2024 and continue until the position is filled.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Master of Fine Arts in studio art or sculpture or its equivalent from an accredited institution by the time of appointment. One year of undergraduate teaching experience is preferred. Recent MFA graduates and international applicants encouraged to submit.

Position Description:
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses such as 3-D design and various levels of sculpture and 3D printing. It is expected that the selected candidate will maintain the Sculpture facility. The department possesses a woodshop and numerous PRUSA 3D printers. Effective interpersonal skills are desired to successfully engage with a diverse group of students and colleagues.
