Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Facilities Management, the Life Safety Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, and administration of major repairs and/or replacements of fire alarm, sprinkler, and fixed suppression systems. The incumbent will also coordinate major elevators repairs and elevator modernizations.
Required Education & Experience:
*Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years project coordination and facilities management or construction experience.
*Experience with financial reporting and budgeting.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
***A valid motor vehicle license is required.***
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Coordinate requisition services and procurement resources for work funded.
*Knowledge of International Fire Code and NFPA Life Safety Codes
*Knowledge of facilities project management, construction, and vendor management.
*Ability to read plans, blueprints, and specifications.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting.
*Extremely organized/detailed with excellent time management skills.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and MS Project
Preferred:
*Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.
*Four (4) to five (5) years of directly related experience.
This Position does require a motor vehicle background check.
