Manufacturing Quality Engineer, Manager Responsibilities


  • Responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes for Meta open source server technologies by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly and testing.

  • Further, they will ensure product and process quality targets are met by designing test methods, establishing standards and driving continuous improvement projects with contract manufacturers and commodity suppliers.

  • Also, the Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving root cause and corrective action for failures during server integration, rack production, and in the Data Center.

  • They will create and maintain all production process and quality documentation.

  • Moreover, they will create Bills of Material ( BOM ), Engineering Change Notifications ( ECN ) and manufacturing process changes through product lifecycle management ( PLM ) tools.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics or a related field and 36 months of work experience in job offered or engineering-related occupation. Experience must include at least 36 months of experience in the following:

  • 1. Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager

  • 2. Open compute, storage and network hardware design or engineering

  • 3. Developing manufacturing test solutions for compute, storage and network hardware

  • 4. Conducting Design of Experiments (DOE), root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of hardware issues

  • 5. Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems

  • 6. Coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams

  • 7. Developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions

  • 8. Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth.
