Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity in Germantown, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o You'll provide shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfillment services for clinical sites and laboratories.
o Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
o Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested.
o Assist in receiving biological specimens, chemical compounds, clinical agents, and/or Investigational products.
o Verify the quality, type and quantity of materials received are accurate and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
o Weigh dry chemical compounds
o Aliquot liquid biological samples or products.
o Perform general documentation management (ie generate, review, archive, or destroy).
o Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures ranging from ambient to -196°C.
o Assures compliance to cGMP parts 210 and 211 and company quality systems.
o Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), facility safety guidelines, and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) requirements which may include compliance with cGMP CFR parts 210 and 211 where applicable.

REQUIREMENTS:
Prefer work experience with data entry, shipping/receiving, sample management.
Proven track record to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet schedules required.
Need basic digital literacy to navigate inventory systems, Microsoft Office, and shipping software in order to support the operation in its daily functions.
Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
Prefer knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory, and quality assurance/control.
Good social skills and customer service skills required.
Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Must be ready to start work timely daily and maintain strong attendance performance.
Ability to follow general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new projects to complete assigned tasks. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; errors in work could cause delays in schedules.
Training will be provided through one-on-one instruction, on-the-job training (OJT), client generated Standard Training Protocol (STP) and/or other training documentation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Cold environments ranging from ambient to -196°C with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, marked changes in temperature.
Perform work of a highly repetitive nature.
Will walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 50lbs on a continuous basis.
Routinely push and pull up to 50lbs.
May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch and crawl.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Certified Pharmacy Tech, preferred

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Due to business needs, must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. Travel will be required to Division sites between Rockville and Frederick (will be told in advance).
