Piper Companies is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for an opportunity in Baltimore, Maryland (MD), to join a design services company creating finished products for the healthcare, science & technology, commercial, and other industries.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer

• Lead Registered Professional Engineer overseeing engineering projects, applying sound judgment in modifying standard techniques and criteria
• Conceptualize and guide major phases of facility projects, managing engineering work and coordinating with external agencies
• Act as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and design teams, resolving complex issues and ensuring project progress
• Supervise project design and progress, review technical documents, and oversee less experienced engineers and support staff.

Qualifications of the Mechanical Engineer

• 10+ years of design experience in mission critical centers and/or infrastructure (or equivalent combination of experience and graduate-level education)
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs such as Revit MEP or AutoCAD is preferred
• Professional Engineering License (PE) is highly preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering is required

Compensation for the Mechanical Engineer

• Salary Range : $150,000 - $200,000 per year
