Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Pediatric Medical Receptionist. The primary function of this role is to manage the front desk operations, with a focus on scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information for our young patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and families with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and courteously, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring efficient use of provider time and meeting patient needs.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
  • Collect co-payments and other patient payments accurately.
  • Maintain electronic medical records and ensure all patient information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any scheduling or administrative issues.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the clinic.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist or similar role, preferably in a pediatric setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service to our young patients and their families.
