What You Will Do:

• Manage and support standalone/RAC installation, patching, and maintenance the services for Oracle database, Dataguard, RMAN, Oracle WebLogic and Oracle Enterprise Manager in Linux environments.

• Diagnose problems with Oracle products using the Oracle Enterprise Manager.

• Able to troubleshoot common database problems and can assist in application related issues.

• Write Oracle stored procedures, packages, functions, views, and triggers.

• Write shell scripts to support the database servers and applications as needed.

• Create and maintain Goldengate replication

• Ensure SLA's & operational KPI's are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.

• Create a reliable backup strategy. Ensure database backups are appropriately executed and periodic restorations are exercised to ensure backup quality.

• Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and execution of disaster recovery plans.

• Work in a fast-paced production operations and development environment.

Required Skills:

  • Due to Federal requirements, US Citizenship is required. Additionally, candidates will be required to pass a government-sponsored background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Oracle Database Administration and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience in mission critical, high availability, high reliability environments.
  • SQL Tuning (especially within Oracle applications), SQL traces, SQLLDR, Oracle Application utilities.
  • OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) for monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Experience with strong skills in writing queries and database design.
  • Extensive SQL and PL/SQL experience required.
  • Ability to balance daily maintenance and development with long term planning.
  • Ability to bring new ideas and process recommendations to team.
  • Effective communications for daily interaction with government clients.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
