POSITION SUMMARY:

PRIMARY:

• Maintain a safe environment for patients/customers, team members and yourself.

• Adhere to MRI Safety policies, procedures and guidelines.

• Effectively document and communicate pertinent and required information

• Perform procedure protocols, produce images consistent with image quality standards and follow all Federal, State and Regional healthcare regulations and adhere to Joint Commission/ACR standards.

• Properly identifies, prepares and/or administers medications that are within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.

• Demonstrate effective time management and critical thinking skills.

• Maintain flexibility, adapt to changes in workflow processes and the needs of the Health First organization based upon fluctuations in patient volume.

• Communicate effectively with customers (patients, LP, other Health First associates, the public, etc.) using excellent customer relation skills at all times.

• Utilize supplies/equipment with care in a safe, proficient and cost-effective manner

• Able to work effectively and efficiently in a stressful work environment.

• Able to respond to life threatening situations.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education:

o Graduate of a Joint Review Committee approved Radiologic Technology program, or equivalent approved school of Radiologic Technology or

o Graduate of a JRCNMT Nuclear Medicine Program or

o Graduate of JRC-DMS Sonography Program

• Licensure:

o Licensed as a General Radiographer in the state of Florida, if applicable.

• Certification:

o Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) or

o Registered by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or

o Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in nuclear medicine technology or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or

o Registered in Sonography by ARRT or in any sonography-related modality by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)

o Advanced ARRT (MRI) examination obtained within two (2) years of hire/transfer

o Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

o Ability to report to department within 30 minutes when on call

o Ability to work safely in a magnetic environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Work Experience:

o Prior MRI experience preferred

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

o Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physically agile; requires walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching majority of the shift

• Heavy work that frequently includes lifting or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more with or without assistance

• May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or over head

• May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift

• May be exposed to inside environments and outside environments with extreme temperatures, air contamination, dirt, grease or water

• May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC Guidelines.

• May operate various types of manual and motorized equipment used in the transportation of materials

• May be exposed to intense noise or vibration and awkward or confined work position

• Communicating with others to exchange information.

• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks

• Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote

• May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle
