The Navigation Charge Nurse at Montgomery Cancer Center is responsible for clinical care coordination and identification of MCC at risk patients for psychosocial, financial, mental health or clinical factors. The Charge Nurse manages other clinical nurse navigators and registered dietitians at MCC and the education, communication and referral coordination they provide. • Active RN license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three years nursing experience required.
• Two years oncology experience preferred.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred upon employment, required within six months of employment
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred on hire, will be required within 6 months of employment.
• Basic Computer skills, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to interact with coworkers and the public in a courteous, cooperative and professional manner.
• Good organizational skills with an ability to set priorities, organize work activities and meet required deadlines.
