Oncology Hospitalist Opportunity

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a 670-bed institution, is currently seeking a full-time Inpatient Staff Physician for our specialized inpatient oncology unit.

Our inpatient staff physician team works in close conjunction with the attending oncology physician to provide day-to-day management for complex and acutely ill cancer patients. Inpatient staff physicians work in the context of a multidisciplinary team with dieticians, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, child life, PT/OT, and nursing. In addition to the challenging and dynamic clinical experience, inpatient staff physicians have opportunities to participate in quality improvement, clinical guideline development and implementation, resident and medical student education, and clinical research.

The schedule includes day and night shifts in addition to weekend and holiday rotations.

Applicants should be board-eligible/certified in pediatrics or medicine/pediatrics. Hematology/oncology training or oncology background is not required. Training is provided. Obtaining an Ohio Medical License is required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Requirements

Staff Physician Level 1

• Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent

• Unrestricted licensed physician

• Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division

. Successful completion of CCHMC pre-employment drug screening and criminal records background check

Preferred:

BE/BC physician in pediatric

Staff Physician Level 2

• Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent
