A client in the Indianapolis, IN area is seeking a Paralegal II or III to join their team for a permanent position. This paralegal will be heavily involved in loan documentation. They will have the ability to engage in a variety of tasks, including conducting research and resolving routine legal questions under the direction of an attorney on a level between the attorney and the legal secretary; and ranging from repetitive to those calling for judgment and independent initiative. Provides research and support activity and

counsel and advises company personnel on routine matters. Prepares agreements, instruments, documents, and pleadings relating to

litigation and non-litigation matters. Supports Legal Department administrative tasks including but not limited to outside counsel

management, litigation/litigation hold management, legal invoice processing, and records management in addition to other tasks as

assigned.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Researching claims/complaints and making recommendation in pre-litigation phase as well as with respect to matters in

litigation.

* Advanced legal research and analysis.
- Assisting in reviewing and drafting documents (client correspondence, agreements, responses to interrogatories, requests for

admission, requests for production, affidavits, case summaries, histories, chronologies, etc).

* Advanced management of discovery as well as reviewing legal documents.

* Interacting with internal clients in meetings and group projects; as well as possibly leading such efforts.

* Search/Compile legal research, and managing litigation docket and assist with drafting/reviewing pleadings.

* Collect, process and review of electronic discovery (e-discovery).

Coordinate all aspects of hard copy and electronic document productions (scheduling, bates-stamping,

photocopying/scanning, shipment, etc.)

*Assist attorney(s) in case management by organizing maintaining case files along with indexing and document retrieval

systems from inception through matter resolution.

* Assist counsel in resolution of matters.

* Provides guidance and assistance with respect to service of process, subpoena and garnishment matters.

* UCC log management

* Handles annual reports and licensing

Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of paralegal experience working in a law firm and/or corporate law department (6-11 years of experience would be considered level two)
- Ability to work in a fast paced/high stress environment
- willing to work overtime, if needed
- NOT looking for a litigation background

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Paralegal certification
- real estate transactions
