As the Paramedic, you will assist the Registered Nurse in the assessment of the health status of emergency department patients. Transport monitored and non-monitored patients to inpatient units and diagnostic areas. Check patient's vital signs. Prepares, hangs, monitors, and discontinues I.V. fluids. Handles insertion of I.V. catheteres, draws blood work, and completes ACU checks. Completes EKG's and documents completion of patient tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma; Completion of Paramedic Program requried
• Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or Hospital Experience preferred
• Paramedic License in State of Practice; Basic Life Support (BLS); Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) within 12 months of hire required
