We are currently accepting applications for a full-time support position within the district's transition program at Chatham High School. The successful candidate will serve as both a paraprofessional and student transportation coordinator/driver for students aged 18-21.

As paraprofessional, the individual will support students in acquiring the skills necessary for independent living, employment, post-secondary education, etc.

As transportation coordinator/driver, the individual will hold or procure a NJ Commercial Driver License (CDL) in order to transport, by school bus, students in the program to various locations that provide employment preparation skills, community integration, etc. Destinations will vary, but are often within the Chathams and neighboring communities.

To procure a CDL, the following qualifications must be met:

• Be a US Citizen or a non-US Citizen with lawful permanent resident status.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a basic; New Jersey driver's license(Class D).
• Have at least 20/40 vision in each eye with or without glasses.
• Be able to recognize red, green, and amber colors.
• Be physically fit.*

Details

Paraprofessional: $27,500.00 annually

CDL Stipend = $8,000.00 annually

Single benefits with option to buy-up to emp. + child(ren)
