As a member of the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, our Level 4 program includes a 12 bed EMU as well as MEG, PET, SPECT and TMS services. Our hospitals located in Houston Texas, provide Pediatric Emergency Centers staffed by physicians who are board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine; acute care inpatient units staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists; and intensive care units staffed by Pediatric Critical Care specialists. A large cohort of pediatric subspecialists provide inpatient and outpatient services at all locations (Main Campus, West Campus, and Woodlands).

Summary

The Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience, Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine, is pleased to announce vacancies for an Epileptologist at Texas Children's Hospital Main Campus. The academic appointment at Assistant Professor (tenure track), will be in the Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience of the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine.

With a proposed CART of 100% clinical effort, this junior level faculty member will be located at Main Campus. This candidate will assist with in patient call, fellows clinic, and reducing our wait list of patients for Epilepsy. Service responsibility will include EEG, EMU, MEG and reading of studies. Collaboration with neurosurgery and associated research is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Education: M.D. or equivalent.
• Minimum Certification/Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board; obtainable upon hire offer.
• Board certified/eligible
