Description
SAIC has an opening for a ServiceNow Principal Systems Administrator who will provide application support for the configuration, customization, and administration of the ServiceNow Product Suite such as FSM, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management. This role is fast paced and will provide the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects on the highly visible ServiceNow Platform team. Position is required to be co-located in San Diego, CA with opportunity for Hybrid work.
JOB DUTIES:
• Implement security (including Access Control Lists).
• Enhance the user interface to provide a customized look and feel.
• Monitor the health, administration, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
• Configure and enhance core application including, but not limited to, Service Catalog, Service Portal, Knowledge Base, Management, Project & Portfolio, and Reporting.
• Support implemented and proposed solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Load, manipulate, and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems.
• Participate in deployment of features and ServiceNow releases.
• Make recommendations and participate in implementing ServiceNow requirements.
• Provide architectural controls and impact analysis for new requirements.
• Research and stay current in ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies.
• Create and maintain a detailed view of the ServiceNow architecture.
• Contribute to ServiceNow software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery.
• Optimize stability and usability of ServiceNow through regular application maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to design best solutions for technical issues.
• Meet with stakeholders for requirement gathering.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's and Nine (9) years or more experience; Master's and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• US Citizenship Required
• Active Secret Clearance
• ServiceNow System Administrator Certification (CSA)
• ServiceNow development experience
DESIRED SKILLS:
• ITIL experience.
• 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform or other near-peer workflow tool (e.g., SalesForce, ZenDesk, Monday.com, SAP) in administration, on-premises self-hosted installations, ongoing operations, and maintenance of the environment.
• Extremely well-developed organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication skills.
• Customize and configure application UI and workflows.
• Experience completing administration tasks, including user provisioning, ticket research and response, reporting, and maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platform Resourcefulness, problem-solving aptitude, and self-motivation.
• PowerPoint skills, presentations, basic web design and graphics skills (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, for wireframing).
• Web design experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Shopify, WIX, Stripe, GoDaddy, WordPress etc.) is a PLUS.
• Certification(s) in other related near-peer workflow tools is a PLUS.
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
