YOUR ROLE
  • As a Product Development Chemist, you will be part of a highly motivated and cross-functional team that develops adhesives for the building construction and furniture applications
  • Synthesize polyurethane adhesives - hotmelt and liquid - and perform standard laboratory tests to characterize their performance
  • Utilize processing equipment to evaluate adhesive processability and prepare assemblies to test bond quality
    Tabulate, plot, and interpret data to determine trends and recommend future experiments
  • Plan and organize laboratory projects, maintain meticulous records using digital tools, and present results and status to stakeholders
  • Engage with colleagues in manufacturing to scale-up products developed in the lab and sustain existing products
  • Assure all work is carried out in a safe manner, and products and processes comply with all regulatory requirements
YOUR SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant discipline is required
  • Prior 1-3 years of relevant, lab experience in an academic, internship or industrial setting is required
  • Prior knowledge of adhesive technology and formulating is a benefit, but not required
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong teamwork skills and proven ability to collaborate with others
The salary for this role is $58,300.00 - $76,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
